Mentor
Helpful, Outgoing, Resourceful
The Mentor Archetype
Mentors are friendly, outgoing, and natural influencers. They thrive in environments where they can interact with people. Mentors enjoy being part of a team, and quite often they are the leaders. They are excellent support systems for people, and their confident nature allows them to be persuasive when they think it’s appropriate.
Things they're good at
Mentors are helpful, outgoing, and generous. They are good leaders in a one-on-one scenario or within small groups. They are optimistic and persuasive, and usually enjoy helping others reach their goals by offering guidance and advice. Their natural aptitude for teamwork paired with their leadership abilities means they work extremely well in situations that call for managing the safety and well-being of others.
Things they can watch out for
Mentors' enthusiasm for creating unique, helpful experiences for others can sometimes inhibit their ability to think methodically and logically. They work well within a group setting, but can sometimes struggle when they have to work independently. They typically don’t enjoy situations where they have to get physical or build something with their hands. Their holistic approach to problem solving lends itself well in situations that call for an empathetic leader.
